It's a GREAT idea, I mean...
I've worked very hard on trying to get "out and known" within the beauty/lifestyle blogger community, and now that I've made a couple of great friends (who've helped me so much!) I should actually start doing shit.
For starters, I am officially participating in VOXBOX! Influenzer, the site, has accepted my application in wanted to be sent free shit to test! C: Expect a post on that (considering I have too o -o) then maybe I dunno. I need to be INFLUENTIAL to be part of this, right? So maybe actually diving back into the beauty scene will do me some good (considering I have yet (and probably wont :D) to go shopping for summer clothes, I've just been wearing last year's and spring's fashions OTL (but it's not my fault ok, I've been working too much that my uniform is my daily wear.))

June!
June first and I'm scrambled. Exactly six days from now and I'll be done with this school year and getting prepared for the next one(Because over-summer work is the only way to go.) What's been going on in my life?
> I'm sick!
Currently, at least. I'm on the depo shot for birth control. Menaing I have a lot of extra hormones 24/7 and for some reason after not getting shark week for six months it comes! It hought I was dying, or having a miscarriage, or the birth control had fail and I was really just lucky or something like that, but yesterday I went to the doctor and she just laughed at me and told me I was fine and that because of all the awesome extra hormones I'm going to feel terribly sick for the next couple of days. (Plus side, she said this should only last for one or two more days. #score)
>I'm going to see the Red Hot chili peppers!
They're playing on a FREE stage on my anniversary! c: Me and Mr. Man both love them, so it's really a no brain excuse to go see them. I'm actually going to be attending almost everyday of summerfest this year (Thanks to a contest Boyfriend won) we scored free daily passes, and almost everyday there's someone we want to see. Granted, I'd kill to see Fun. (Have you heard their "Call Me Maybe"" cover?) and the Foo Fighters, but Red hot Chili Peppers! Halestorm! All Time Low! C':
> I'm making bank...
...thanks to a second job. Less time,to use to laze around this summer, but more of a chance to earn my car of my dreams, and have more money to put off for an apartment of my own. Hopefully I can just blog my life away and get sent free things for the remainder of my days after the apartment, but we'll see.
>I'm high honors!
>I'm losing weight
I don't know if it'sthe eating disorder or really me,but we'll see soon. Stay tuned.
So that's really it, I got hair cut... Looks like Zoey DeChanel... Wanted a more Katy Perry vibe but ennh, it happens. I seriously think I'm going to be sick, but this is my last full day of education for the year, then exams all next week. So hopefully I'll persevere.

I'm a simple girl
Not a an expensive date, I don't expect to showered with gifts and presents on a daily basis by my boyfriend. In fact him just being my boyfriend is more than I could ask for, for he makes me happy and happiness is the best gift, yes?
I was asked today what I wanted for our anniversary coming up, and I answered cigarettes. My boyfriend got huffy cause I never want anyhting nice, because I never ask for it. I want nice things, bu tI don't think I should get a necklace every month, jus tbcause we've been together for a month later. So then I told him that he can get me a pack of the Menthol Dreams, really nice super mentol cigarettes. And now he's much happier.
What a goofball. c:

I don't like Thursdays!
I like Mondays more!
Thursdays are the worse. It's the day after hump day, but still not Friday or the weekend, building up so much excitement on you're poor school aged brain.
It's sucks, plus on Thursdays I get to sit home alone cause it's my day off, but not boyfriends or friend's days off. So no one to hang out with but my doggie, Maggie, and if I'm lucky my cat will show his head too.
No, no, I really don't mind having a day to myself. It's not that bad. I get to clean and make nice of my house, prepare for the up coming weekend and catch up on whatever is on my DVR (Next Top Model hnngg). What I don't like out of all of this is my dirty little addiction peers it's head out. It takes no prisioners, only bribes, and can't ever be stopped...
Online shopping.
Ebay, Nasty Gal, Urban outfitters, MAC... Ugu, it's all too much. I love the stores! I love the clothes, make up, accessories, shoes (Nasty Gal omg).
All my friends ask me "Shelby you have two jobs why you so poor all the time!?"
I Just brush t hem aside and say I'm not poor I'm being frugal WHEN REALLY I JUST BOUGHT A SLEW OF NEW DRESSES FROM URBAN OUTFITTERS, hahahahaha!
Except it's not funny, lah. It's really sad. Boyfriend knows of the troubles I face, and he just laughs at me! :C
But yeah I got paid today toodles, Ebay calls me!

Gah! Internet! Boys!
Let' just start this off with, my boyfriend dumped me because of something he saw on facebook.
Like lah, wtf?
Firstly, we've been dating for a short time now, not very long. He's very insecure, but I didn't mind and I still don't, he's a great guy.
What happened was on St. Patrick's Day, after I got out of my day job he was going to pick me up, run me home to shower and change, then we were going to head over to my older sister's for her party.
She posted a facebook status, and tagged me in it but no him. (so it was like "...@sail0rShelby and her boyfriend...)
We ended up not going cause I got sick, she added him later then on facebook and he saw that status, instead of asking me he assumed that the boyfriend mentioned in the status was a different guy, and we didn't go cause he'd be there.
What.
No.
It's you.
Yeah he didn't believe me, at all. It just was fwoosh, over his head. He broke up with me and gave me all my shit back, but wouldn't say why. We texted me this afternoon and broke it to that "he knew I was cheating."
No
Um.
I even got my sister to call and tell him she was talking about him! :I Boys are stubborn, he won't beleive me and I really still want him ugu.

What really is a bad relationship?
I'm young, sixteen. When i compare myself to my older sister, twenty four, I probably know nothing about relationships. She's major successful thought, she's married to the man of her dreams that she's been seeing for almost six years.
But I dunno, I'm lost. Her brain for romance never rubbed off on me. I'm oblivious when it comes to dropping hints, I'm clingy and always want to be with my significant other, I'm the worse communicator ever, and I'm a "big flirt" (Everyone tells me, but I don't see it). So when it comes to me trying to be in relationships, I'm hopeless.
Not saying that I've never been in a relationship, and that I'm doomed to be a cat lady. No, I'm sure eventually I'll fancy some lady or gent's fancy enough, I do have some quality characteristics (I like to clean and cook and grocery shop and not work.. I'd be a great housewife).
But lately I've been picking real winners.
:P
I , won't go in to the gorey details, but it's what it is. I shouldn't have been love stuck or stubborn and I should have noticed it was bad from the start. Firstly he was almost six years older than me, nearly guaranteeing trouble. Not saying never date an older guy either, cause they're all not bad.
This guy was a douche bag. I kinda noticed it when we were "together" but I never called him out on it, I'm not one to change people.
On top of it too, we weren't even together! "Friend's with benefits!"
I don't know not saying that when you date a douche he's gonna be a douche, he might need some warming up to. Ugu, just don't drink until you know (not think, know) you trust him.

Etude House: Black head remover dual sheet, Info and review!
Omg guys, I don't know what to think after this product.
The black head remover dual sheet was originally an impulse buy to say the least. I was cruising ebay and noticed that when you purchased this you got two BB cream samples. So I pulled a "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and bought this product in order to get the two free ones. All and all it was still a steal (at least, I think so. My boyfriend doesn't seem to think so but what's it to him, yah? c:) I got this product for two American dollars and free shipping. (plus the two BB cream samples which were smaller than I though. :B)
So moving on, Etude house is a Philippian makeup and cosmetics brand. It's branched itself all over Asia and even onto Australia, but it's yet to really make a splash here in the States. Yet, so make bloggers (like myself) are nuts for the stuff.
My boyfriend thought I would have so much difficulty cause of how it's an Asian brand, he though t the instructions would be in an Asian language, but haha I showed him!
There are English instructions on one half! :P
But yeah, there's two parts to the strip. the first being the actual black head remover sheet. I though tit's be like most of the removers we have here in the states; one that like tightens and yanks the blackhead out, but I was wrong.
It's a piece of cotton that is sopping with the remover serum. Etude says the sheet is formulated specially with a fruit complex that supplies Alpha Hydroxy Acids for mild skin exfoliation. The formula draws out the dirt in pores for easy wipe off removal with no pain.
No pain is right, this stuff so soooo soothing! The first step is suppose to sit on for fifteen minutes and it's fifteen minutes of bliss! It's this amazing cooling, tingly feeling on your nose. It's like sticking just your nose in snow on a hot day. the serum is gooey, but not sticky. At first the sheet slid off my nose because of amount of product packed into this thing.
The first step alone is already worth the two dollars, yah!
The second step was the tightening gel sheet. Etude says again: Formulated wit fresh herbs to soothe and close pores. Over all, this half was just weird. The first step never said it was suppose to soothe or cool or tingle or anything, the second step was suppose to do all that but it didn't. The gel on the sheet was cold, but it didn't give me the cooling tingly feeling like step one had. This part was overly sticky, as well. It latched on to my nose and became ooze and it warmed up, gross.
But over all I give this product a 2.5/5. I really did like step one, it made my nose feel nice and clean. Step two, however, made me really sad (for lack of better description OTL ). The actual use of this product was fair. It didn't do the same amount a good ol' Biore strip would have done, but it did improve the little acne I have around my nose. Like said before, I don't know what to think. I am in mad love with my Etude house makeup, but this being the first skincare product I've used from them it severely lacks. I don't plan on repurchasing this any time soon. :C
---
P.s. The BB creams were smaller then I originally thought they were, but they were fantastic! Skin Food mad love!

Daily Skincare!
I have half an hour before I have to head up to work, so why not blog it away?
Just a reminder, these are my daily facial washes, I plan on doing the rest of my daily face-care products separately because I use so many.
Every morning I wash my face with Clean&Clean finishing pore and Lush's Angels on bare skin.
As ya'll can pretty much see, I used this pearly shit a ton. It's not harsh and is odorless. For the most part I use it because I love how it makes my pores feel. The other two products are more of a "less is more" type, but this one provides a clean, tingly feeling, which helps wake me up.
Next I use Angel's on Bare skin. I have totally sensitive "do not touch me or I'm gonna get all red and ichy" angry skin. So finding regular non-natural products (like my other two) are hard to come across. Angel's on bare skin is a natural exfoliator (the little seeds in it look like maggots! blech). I prefer it's clay and maggot texture over a bead exfoliator any day. The beads can actually bust up or capillaries and cause more angry skin.
See?? Maggots! (but they're good smelling lavender-y maggots...[and not really maggots])
Finally at night, I use Johnson&Johnson brand Purpose gentle facial cleanser. What attracted me to this product was the Allure 2008 award, and then after that the fact that on the bottle it states its as gentle as water. Now, while it's not as gentle as water, it's still extremely soft and soap free. It doesn't give a tingly-cleany feel like my Clean and Clear does, but it does remove the impurities of my skin that a makeup remover might have missed nightly while not giving my skin the pull-sting or dry skin. Over all I would say that out of these three facial cleansers This one would be my most favorite because of the price factor and how easy it is to find. I literally ran across this one frantic winter break when I was in a Walmart located in the middle of no where!
All and all I use these cleansers daily. The first two in the morning to wake up my pores and to provide softness to my skin, and the last one to help get all the bad stuff I gained over the day off of my face. Together the only real acne fighting product is the Clean and Clear, but even then it's not labeled to fight acne, it's labeled to get gunk out of your pores. In another blog entry, I'll go into detail of my acne serums, masks, lotions, SPFs, primers, and night-cremes I use on my skin. It's beyond the actual cleanser is where the magic happens. While washing your face is beneficial, it's not nearly as potent as it would be if you pair it up with a great astringent and lotion to help combat acne and dry skin.

Preparing for con
I can't believe I'm heading out to con this week!
February 17-19th I'll be heading out to Anime Milwaukee, a WisCon,to attend. The weekend is packed with voice actors (Such as Chris Cason, Wendy Powell, Robert Axelrod and Spike Spencer.), internet celebrities (Uncle Yo and Little Kuriboh!) and a freakin' variety of Panels.
Anime Milwaukee has been known to have something for everyone. This will be my third year attending and I'm happy to say I'm a vivid fan of the WisCon. The Staffers that put a year of labor into this con are astounding. Each one has the constant support that an attendee needs; my favorite quirk is there is always a staff member when you need one, they're constantly circulating the convention center ready to take feedback or answer questions of the con.
Super psyched thought for something even completely unrelated to the con. This year
I've discussed with a couple other attendees to hold a little experiment. We're going to calculate the cheapest way to attend con, including eating, con entry costs and how to save gas/money on staying at a con, including how to "pull an all nighter" and not getting a room. If it works or if we're going to get kicked from con. c:
Pre-Con tips on money saving soon to come!
